WTF, Inc. Road Task Force Ambassador West (RTF-W)
WTF is currently looking for a part-time, volunteer staff member to join our team in the position of RTF-W Ambassador. The RTF-W Ambassador supports the Foundation by working in our Marketing & Communications division. You will have the opportunity to network with corporate clients, community partners, and attendees in your assigned region. You will create public relations campaigns tailored to our attendees and regional community and serve as a liaison between all stakeholders involved in your assigned region. If you’re a natural born leader with experience navigating type-a personalities, knowledge of resources available to first responders, veterans, military members, and their families, and would love to be a part of a dynamic and innovative team, this position might be for you!

Position Expectations:
You will be…
Reporting to WTF's Events Manager.
Develops and implements specific outreach efforts and communication plans tailored to maximize the involvement of target audiences. This includes but is not limited to drafting informational materials for distribution, documenting, and organizing public comments/responses.
Helps develop and implement strategies to educate organizations and citizens to build support and enhance viability for WTF's programs and services.
Interact with regional specific stakeholders in person to ensure consistent communication and promotion of WTF campaigns.
Develop and implement public relations strategies to promote programs in collaboration with WTF's leadership team.
Oversee the collection and upkeep of participant data in order to meet reporting requirements.
Help with market research and outreach in potential site communities.
Communicating with WTF Board members and volunteer team members, with direction from WTF's Events Manager, to champion operational vision and program development results.
Reporting on event issues and be available to assist with solutions as needed.
Recruiting team members to join future projects.
Be able to work each assigned event, as needed, up to 10 hours during the week remotely.
Other tasks as deemed necessary by the Director of Marketing and Communications or Events Manager.
Experience and Background:
1+ years volunteering or working with nonprofits, public communities, and communities aligned similarly to WTF's mission, vision, and purpose.
Strong communication abilities are required.
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of people.
A desire to grow as a leader and make a difference in your community through public relations and communications strategies and vision.
Experience with working independently and leading teams remotely.
Microsoft and or Google Suite experience required.
