"Rember Your Sacrifice, Live For Theirs!"
Director of Development
Alice Babine is twice retired from the Department of Defense, as both an Army officer and as an Air Force senior civilian. On 11 September 2001 she was preparing to become a stay-at-home mom following military retirement, but the events of that day changed the course of her life.
The initial impact was Alice’s decision to continue serving our military as a civilian, rather than returning home, in order to support our nation’s response to the new strategic threat. The greater impact, revealed later, was her then-12-year-old son Travis’ decision to become a United States Marine - as a direct result of watching the unprovoked attack on America. Having achieved his goal in 2008, Travis deployed to Afghanistan in 2009, where he was killed in an IED attack along with three of his fellow Marines.
Alice credits her Christian faith, connection with other Gold Star families, and the unwavering support of the Marine Corps family for giving her the strength and courage to navigate the loss of her son. Providing that same kind of support to others is central to our vision for the Warrior Tribe Foundation.
Alice is grateful to have had the opportunity to serve God through service to a nation founded on His holy principles, surrounded by many true patriots and people of faith, and with dear friends walking the journey of service and sacrifice alongside her. She seeks to continue that service to Him through the work of the Foundation.
